About Us

Heroes Liaison Unit ("HLU")

The UNIT has many missions. Not the least of which is, to respond to the unfortunate circumstances that have allowed so many members of our ‘family’ to fall into desperate situations. ‘Sensible Solutions’ to these issues will be at our core. Our burgeoning ranks of members and volunteers are designing and re-designing methods to address some of the catastrophic failures that have marginalized so many of our heroes and their families.
DOING
A collectivization of the Veteran, Responder, and Civilian communities galvanizing the vast resources available nationally to help in areas where the greatest degree of marginalization, isolation, inequity, resource depravation and abandonment have become too common. A grass roots, apolitical, effort to address many issues, is not only needed, but is now underway! An assignment the UNIT eagerly accepts.
ACHIEVING

Reimagining giving

We will be focusing on a re-engineering of the giving and distribution processes. Our unique tri-lateral approach will encompass elements of catastrophic response efforts, the expansion of 'best of breed' providers, and making DIRECT access to mental health solutions more affordable, widely available, and part of the solution. The HLU proudly takes on this task.
